Cynthia Heidke, CPA

Director of Finance

Cynthia (Cindy) Heidke is a business professional with 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry spanning many different roles. Her first exposure to the healthcare industry was in 1998 when she joined the claims department at Humana. During her experience at Humana, Cindy became very passionate about educating people about insurance. Early in her career, Cindy worked as a CPA at SVA in Madison, WI specializing in the healthcare industry. She became an HR Director in 2004 at a printing company called LaserTech managing employees in both the Wisconsin and Florida locations.

Cindy joined UW Health in 2005 starting out in the accounting department. She transitioned into the transplant department where she participated in many process improvement projects, developed and carried out training throughout the state of Wisconsin, and was a two time co-chair of a 500 attendee two day educational conference about organ donation.  In her most recent role as a healthcare administrator for the Division of Hospital Medicine at UW School of Medicine, she was on many quality improvement projects, specifically involved in improving patient satisfaction and provider communication and had been an active committee member in the national hospital medicine organization, The Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM).  She was published in JAMA Internal Medicine in 2013 addressing the hot topic of inpatient vs observation status, and went to Capitol Hill in 2015 on behalf of SHM to talk to Congress representatives regarding pending legislation on this topic.

Cindy became a Weight Watchers Coach in December of 2014.  Throughout 2015 she has worked with people all over the country, helping them achieve the changes they want to see in their lives.  She became a certified wellness coach with Mayo Clinic in October 2015, and is planning on obtaining the new national accreditation in 2016.

She joined Stafford Financial Consulting Group in the beginning of 2016 where she is able to highlight and utilize her strengths, not only as an analytical and strategic business advisor, but also as a motivational and energetic wellness advisor.  Cindy will be managing the group benefit administration team.  Her attention to detail and ability to explain things in a way employees can understand, fosters a consistency, accuracy, and satisfaction crucial to on-going success of our clients.
